Introducing The New Generation of MacBooks

Introducing the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13” with M2 chip, the best new technology Apple has to offer. If you’re looking for a laptop upgrade, now’s the time! Read on to find out which model is right for you.

Starting off with the MacBook Air. Let’s review the major highlights:

  1. The price starts at $1199 (compared to its predecessor’s $999 starting point)

  2. At only 2.7 lbs, the Air is an ideal companion for travel anywhere! (It’s also lighter than the M1 MacBook Air.)

  3. Bonus: At only 0.44” thin, this model is Apple’s sleekest design yet.

  4. Available in four colorways: Midnight, Space Gray, Silver, and Starlight

  5. Noiseless: This upgrade in Apple’s technology means that you can work on intense tasks without worrying about whirring noises from cooling fans!

  6. Faster video editing, gaming, and more (up to 1.4 to 15 times faster than previous models). For example, video editing software Final Cut Pro runs nearly 40% faster on the new MacBook Air than its predecessor (CNET).

  7. Up to 18 hours of battery life!

  8. TONS of storage, with up to a 2TB storage capacity.

  9. The 13.6” Liquid Retina display is slightly larger than that of the previous MacBook Air model (13.3”), and delivers the “biggest and brightest ever on MacBook Air,” making it the perfect choice for all your binge-watching or photo-editing needs.

  10. For those ever-necessary Zoom calls, this computer also delivers HD camera quality and a three-mic setup, as well as a four-speaker sound system for true sonic immersion.

We can’t forget about the new MacBook Pro either! Apple’s MacBook Pro 13” is expected to hit the market next month, July 2022. Here’s everything you need to know before it goes on sale:

  1. The price starts at $1299 (the same starting price as its predecessor)

  2. Available in two colorways: Silver and Space Gray

  3. The new MacBook Pro M2 also has the same ports, weight, dimensions, and screen size as its predecessor. (In comparison to the new MacBook Air, however, the Pro is slightly thicker at around 0.61”, and heavier at 3 pounds.)

  4. The design is also the same as the MacBook Pro M1, meaning the Touch Bar with Touch ID is a feature for this MacBook model. (The Touch Bar is not a feature of the new MacBook Air, although Touch ID is.)

  5. While there are many similarities between the MacBook Pro M2 and its previous counterpart, the M1, the M2 “is capable of up to 18% greater…performance than the M1,” making it a great choice for anyone who’s looking to improve the efficiency of their laptop!

  6. Up to 20 hours of battery life.

  7. The Pro also has tons of storage, with up to 2TB storage capacity!

Trying to decide between the two? Both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro M2 have great efficiency when it comes to running different programs and both have great screen displays in terms of color and brightness. The most notable differences between them are in weight and dimension, with the Air providing a sleeker and lighter experience than its Pro M2 counterpart. And if you like Apple’s Touch Bar, then only the MacBook Pro can provide that! If you’re looking for the higher quality webcam, the MacBook Air outperforms.
